  The book About Last Night by Christy McKellen begins with Radio DJ Lula celebrating her friend's birthday in a pub in the company of her best friend. But she is stressed because her job is in jeopardy since her boss at the radio station she works at wants her fired because of the favors she has denied him. She decides to have a drink or two to drown her sorrows, and her friend urges her to approach a guy, which she does. And that's how she meets Tristan Bamfield, who is in town to solve a problem in his father's company, then leave. He has just come from a failed relationship and is not ready for another one, but he can't keep his eyes off Lula.   Anyone but the Superstar by Sara L. Hudson is a book about two main characters, Felix Jones and Elizabeth Moore. Felix, the celebrity, comes to Texas to shoot his first romantic film while Liz is running away from her family and needs to find herself after the unpleasant discovery about her origin. They met casually thanks to their carefree natures, only to end up hating and suspecting the motives of each other. Meeting once again and working together does not help the situation, not to mention the confusion that led them to have to stay together too. Things are made worse by Felix's manager having to go away and straighten the wrongs that Felix has been doing lately.
