Review of Deadly Waters: The Vietnam Naval War and Its Aftermath by Randy Miller

Image
Deadly Waters: The Vietnam Naval War and Its Aftermath by Randy Miller is a historical fiction book based on American history, which unfortunately is not very pleasant. The author tells the story of a young Vietnam veteran known as Zack Martin who, despite being a brilliant soul, is unfortunate enough to be caught up in what people call service for the country. Still, that service turns out to be a source of torment and immense pain. I have read many books, but this one is just an exception. This is a book written not just because the author is talented or even just for fun, but because it is what I would call a purpose-driven book. One written right from the heart. The injustices done to an ordinary person who has given his all for service to his country, a task that needed total commitment, a commitment that was even required to be put above everything, at times even above one's life, are not only inhuman but also evil. Although the book reflects so much pain, the author has m...

Review of Karmic Selling by Stan Gwizdak

Image
Karmic Selling by Stan Gwizdak is a book in which the author explains exhaustively a sales approach where one prioritizes how to help others find solutions while having good intentions and honesty. It's a strategy he has proven to bring goodness back to him, and he's referring to it as Karmic selling. Having grown up in what one would call a humble background, Stan's parents were not able to provide the things that his agemates had, specifically a BB gun, which prompted him to work in sales at an early age. When he grew up, he started climbing the corporate ladder immediately after graduating with a mechanical degree; however, he later began encountering a few corporate disappointments. These disappointments led to his dissatisfaction, which weighed heavily on his heart, yet he simply didn't have the guts to take the necessary steps until a brush with death happened. This caused him to acknowledge how short life is, and it marked a turning point and a new beginning in ...

REVIEW OF THE LEGACY OF JOBS WIFE BY CYNTHIA J. KOELKER

Image
At times, one wonders how life was in the ancient days, or the Bible days, as some people call them. Cynthia J. Koelker has put our imagination to rest as she narrates in the book known as The Legacy of Job's Wife . This is a fiction book based on the story of Job, found in the Bible. The main character is Job's wife, whose life is well narrated, bringing out the simple, silly things that normal people do. They happened to be neighbors as well as family friends with Jobs' family. Job came from a God-fearing family, but that was not the case with his wife. How will they end up? The reader will have to find out for themselves in this interesting book. At first, I didn't think it would be a very interesting book because, after all, I have read the book of Job a lot of times, yet I needed to see what the writer needed to say regarding it. To my surprise, it has ended up being an extremely intriguing book. I have never thought of Job’s wife, and I believe it is the same case...
