BOOK REVIEW: Review of Sorry, Not Sorry, by Frances Mensah Williams.
Delilah, a trainee relationship counselor, is determined to pursue her dream job, but things are proving to be quite difficult. The couples she has been assigned to are leaving her office unsatisfied, to say the least, and her supervisor is concerned about the firm's reputation. She decides to take action before Delilah ruins everything, so she gives her a compulsory leave, and the terms for resuming her duties are seeing a therapist and sorting her out. She halfheartedly agrees, but this unearths a dark past that she is unwilling to revisit. Things go from bad to worse, but what makes her dive fully into therapy is not her job but the love of her life, Noah. To enjoy Delilah's full journey, read this book, Sorry, Not Sorry, by Frances Mensah Williams.
I love the glimpse the author gives the readers of the counseling sessions; it was interesting to follow the stories within those sessions. The attention to detail is great, and it will make you get absorbed into the story. The writing flows effortlessly like a real-life story. I like the way the author has made the story substantial and relatable.
What I didn't really get comfortable with is how the story became too deep and sensitive towards the end. However, this minor discomfort did not take away my enjoyment of the book.
I rate this book, Sorry, Not Sorry, by Frances Mensah William, 5 out of 5 stars.
I recommend it to readers who love romantic books based on real-life issues, although the book is fiction. They will experience an emotional journey of self-discovery and love.
